About Me.
Learning got exciting when I attended Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion Careers, in Manhattan NY after HS (now Wood Tobe- Coburn). I learned what I loved from culture to theater, physiology to sociology, textiles and fashion and business and all roads lead to fashion. Everything tied in and made sense. At times I would stay up all night and make an outfit to wear for the next day. Belly dance class, theater and dining were my past time. I was in my zone. Part time I dressed windows and business women @ Plymouth Stores in the business district, of Bowling Green, Manhattan.
I interned at Alexander’s Buying office and graduated with my AOS in Marketing, Merchandising and Management. After graduation I became assistant buyer for Worth Stores. Not long after I tried my hand in a vendor’s show room for Men’s Shirts - Dev Imports, 350 fifth Ave. I enjoyed making swatches of their shirts and showing the line to buyers and everything in between. My career was fine but city life was not, the hustle and bustle, rushing and dirty trains got to me.
At nineteen I moved to FL and my career in fashion was in park! (The blessing was I left the heart of the city before 9/11!). I earned certifications as: Unit Secretary, Dental Assistant and Dental Laboratory Technician. Dental Lab tech "stuck" I enjoyed creating something out of nothing and restoring smiles with all 20,000+ porcelain crowns I've made in the past almost 20 years. Before my son, I did it full time in commercial labs and after part time in small private labs so I could work around school schedule. Most recently (past four years) it got more demanding and I needed more flexibility and I discovered Arise! An online agency for online jobs. That was my foot in the tech door. I've serviced Disney Dining Reservations and Intuit Turbo Tax- Tech Support remotely under ClarelAmure. I created ClarelAmure Inc., now dissolved (S Corp was an unwise entity for me as a beginner) and now my company is Mickle Muckle Gallery llc. Simultaneously I started crafting and building websites as an avenue to display and sell my "art" and ideas. In the long run, I've spent more time working on websites, than creating crafts, it's safe to say it's become my passion!
