My Interest:
Travel: over the years I've traveled throughout the country, London, Caribbean, Marguerite Island, Spain, Mexico and Peru. At the top of my list is travel and the freedom to do so and still be able to work. Ideal "retirement" for me will be living on each continent for a month or two and exploring. Then spending extended time in my favorite spot @ the moment it's Peru, Cuzco.
Crafting: my trip to Peru opened up all my creativity once again, the great crafts and foods are refreshing and inspirational. Crafting mostly jewelry, neck warmers and bouquets are great fun to me I've made almost 1,000 original pieces.
Foodie! Food is another interest. Really good artful, soulful food. As you can imagine I watch the Food, HDTV and Travel channels. I am the REAL smoothie queen, I make them several times a week. No special formula or recipe needed I use what I have on hand and make magic, #1 tip is I never ever under any circumstances use ice in my smoothies.
Yoga and Zumba @ least four times a week keeps me in my happy place. I love cycle but it does not love me. I'll still do spinning from time to time. I walk sometimes but I don't like the idea of going "nowhere", I only like walking to Starbucks!
World Vision, we have "adopted a son" through this organization from Brazil since 2006. Shoe Box for Kids- Samaritans Purse is awesome and it's fun to fill shoe boxes with goodies for children. Last but not least is my Aunt and Uncles ministry through Calvary Chapel the Good News Club. Every year we gather mildly used and new clothing, housewares and full size toiletries. In October a team get together in Calvary's warehouse and spend a day packing and labeling boxes to be shipped before the holidays. It was great to finally be there in person last year to physically help. I also love going on school Field Trips with my son however, after the sixth grade I was asked to stop coming. I got lucky in (8th grade) I was able to go to JA Finance but was not allowed to interact beyond a quick hello and travel in a separate vehicle of course!
Every mickle makes a muckle is a common saying in the Islands and UK. My aunt Dominique (she died of colon cancer @ the age of 44) would say: "Every mickle makes a muckle don't waste your money and save your pennies!" That's why I chose the name for my company. I feel it's fitting: I start with balls of yarn, or beads and work magic and create muckle!
